A dying youth
Blood pumping, heart beating, a body oblivious of its own decay.
One could chant ‘Forever Young’ but the body chants a different song, a song of ache and decline, a song of a fleeting dream, a song that says from now on…‘Never Young’
Oh if only the young knew the value of the their youth, if only they knew that it's only a matter of time before they just don't have the same energy they used to have anymore, oh the treasures if only one was able to invest it wisely.
One only realize the value of a thing when it is taken away.
A heart grieving, grieving for its dying youth, hoping to hold on it with all its might, but knowing enough that it will inevitably leave it.
