Ink Spill #3

Will we ever have enough?

thousands of years ago, all we wanted was food for our family, cloth to keep ourselves warm, and a safe place to sleep.

But could this be enough for us, even now?

When our desires are fulfilled, we tend to create new ones.

As if we were given a mountain of gold, we’ll be wanting to have two.

It seems that in our nature, we will never be permanently fulfilled in this life. like a leaking bucket, no matter how much you fill it up, with time, it will eventually drain.

Is our goal to keep filling that bucket? or is it to be happy when it is full and be patient when it is not?

Is it possible that we don’t care about the bucket at all? do we accept our nature for always wanting more or do we coerce it into silence?

It seems like we will never get to be fully fulfilled in this life, but in the after life, I believe our buckets will be infinitely filled up. The more we want the more we will get, never seeing the bucket empty ever again.

At that is the ultimate goal.
