Sacrificing the good for the sake of the great.
We build routine, we seek to be productive, we try to fill up our time with what we perceive to be good.
And now we’re busy, busy being productive.
But is there time left to do what is truly great? and do we even know what that is?
A person can be stuck, stuck being productive.
Constantly ticking boxes, endlessly running on their hamster wheel, thinking they’re going forward though they didn’t move an inch.
In a day where time and mental energy is limited it’s wisest to spend them in the place that yields the most returns not the place that yields any returns.
It is hard to get rid of habits that you think are useful but they all come at a cost, a cost of not having time for something more meaningful.
So it’s time to clear your task basket to leave space for more fruitful endeavors.
