Peace in boredom.
In an age where everyone is a tap, click, swipe away from being stimulated, it seems that boredom has died. No more do we wait passively waiting for the bus entertaining ourselves by looking at the skies. No more do we wait in line tapping our feet on the floor to create some sort of rhythm. No more do we sit at the train talking to the person beside us or just stare out the window.
Our mind is always sunk into our devices, eager to be stimulated at any sight of boredom.
Boredom has become a rarity, may even be a skill that is worth attaining.
Instead of your fingers primarily reaching for the tick, instead of your leg twitching, instead of fearing that someone or something out there is trying to reach you and for you to eagerly check, find contentment in boredom, enjoy missing out on the constant buzz, find peace in keeping your mind empty, be in peace with boredom.
